Sometimes it can be quite lonely under the sea. Sigrid loves to create paper friends and this day she had her mind set on a trio of seahorses. She even had names for them....Mabel, Miles and Marlo. They were siblings...no, wait, they were friends that had met at the underwater school for acrobatics. They were quite the frisky little daredevils so Sigrid had to keep a close eye on her new friends.
I had an idea to create my own hand cut, beveled box frame that would be permanently attached to the canvas. I love how it turned out! Truth be told, I drew the vision and my kind husband did the cutting and the nailing. But, now that we found we could do it, I will definitely have to do more.
Sigrid came to love her new friends and began to think of many other underwater creatures that could join the school for acrobatics. Who would be next, octopus? eels?
Sigrid and her friends are in my etsy shop.
Happy October dear artists!
I love the fall!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments on my work! I just love yours, though. It is so different than what I do, and you're so inspiring. For a few months now, I've been feeling really stifled by realism, and finding your work was like a breath of fresh air and inspired me so much to play and experiment.
