Best Week Ever!! : )

Have you ever had a week where it feels as though all the stars have aligned, everything falls perfectly into place and unexpected treats and visits fall on your door step to fill you with pure joy?

I just had that week and I feel so truly blessed.

Yesterday was my birthday so, for those of you dear readers who have been with me for a while, you know that we naturally had to go to Disneyland......

and have a fantastic time...... But I also was able to spend almost every day this week doing all the things I truly love with (almost!) all of the people I cherish....

Sushi and a much needed gab fest with my oldest and dearest girlfriends......
Martini's and Nordstroms with my two besties and the only two people in my life who regularly read my blog (except for you Mom and Dad : )! ).....

Sweet birthday hugs and songs from my little man...

A surprise new scanner and printer from my sweet hubby!
Yeah!...Can you guys believe I have never had one?....I have done all my prints professionally (which is a giant pain in the arse!)
And oh, the pure joy of playing with these images and all the potential to create more and more art in many different forms,.....it all makes my heart pitter patter!

But, mostly, just the sweet messages and cards that have filled my heart with much love.
And then today.....as the best week ever! is about to come to a close...what do I find on my doorstep but a package from my sweet Cousin/Auntie LuAnne. Lo and behold are you kidding me for the loveliness that was to be found inside?! She had so carefully packaged up some sweet goodies from my great grandmother (her grandma) Nellie Thompson. Crocheted pillow cases and towels (that she had done herself), salt and pepper shakers (she collected these), a sweet little crocheted hat and a half doll pin cushion. You know I almost fell over when I saw that! How I love anything that reminds me of my grans or my great grans!
Thinking of them brings the greatest happiness to me because they were women who truly, inspired me in every way.
Talented, pioneering, unconditionally loving women.
Women that touched my life and forever made it better.
