"The Reluctant Consent"...(Waiting for the One)

All day long she had thought of him. Dreamed and fantasized the course their first conversation would take. Her stomach fluttered and she was filled with the excitement that one has when anticipating seeing the one that holds your heart...the one whose smile warms your soul. She dressed carefully and rather slowly relishing each moment as if wrapping a special package knowing the details on the outside were, sometimes, just as important as those on the inside.
Waiting, longing overtook her. She thought that she could not bear it if he did not come. As a lady, she knew she needed to remain courteous and engaging for the other guests but her heart still lingered elsewhere...
Prints available in my shop here. : )
Happy Monday (if there is such a thing) to all you dear readers!
